Job description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Manager to lead day-to-day operations and support a high-performing environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership abilities, solid operational experience, and the ability to effectively manage change.

This role requires hands-on experience across key facilities areas, including HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems, and boilers. Candidates should be comfortable managing projects, prioritizing operational needs, and driving efficiency while maintaining high standards of safety and performance.

Experience with performance improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma) and a proven ability to identify cost‑saving opportunities is highly valued.

Responsibilities

Planning, organizing, supervising, coordinating and controlling the activities of the Engineering Department functions which are necessary in maintaining the physical structures, HVAC, mechanical, electrical systems, utilities and grounds of the hospital in an operative and safe working condition, and to ensure that hospital and departmental policies and procedures relating to assigned projects are followed and that work is carried out in compliance with regulatory agency guidelines.

Qualifications Education
  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
  • College degree or equivalent Business, Healthcare or related field Preferred
Work Experience
  • 10 years of experience in a related engineering setting. Two years Required
  • 2 years supervisory experience
Licenses and Certifications
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State adhere to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500 criteria Preferred
