Job description

Right of Way Specialist (Land Agent / Easement Acquisition) – Field Based

Liberty Core Consultants is seeking motivated and professional Land Acquisition Agents to support utility and infrastructure projects throughout assigned project regions. This role is responsible for acquiring land rights necessary for project development and construction through effective landowner communication, negotiations, documentation management, and coordination with internal project teams.

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, negotiation experience, and the ability to work independently in both office and field environments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct landowner outreach and maintain professional relationships with property owners and stakeholders
  • Negotiate easements, access agreements, temporary workspace agreements, and related land rights
  • Explain project requirements, impacts, and compensation packages to landowners
  • Coordinate with project management, survey, title, engineering, environmental, and legal teams
  • Maintain accurate acquisition records, reports, and project documentation
  • Track acquisition progress and provide timely status updates
  • Perform field visits and property inspections as needed
  • Support public meetings and community outreach activities when required
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, project procedures, and applicable regulations

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience in right-of-way, land acquisition, real estate, or utility projects preferred
  • Electric transmission, pipeline, renewable energy, or infrastructure experience preferred
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management/database systems
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to travel regularly within assigned project areas
  • State real estate license required where applicable by state law

Preferred Qualifications
  • IRWA certification
  • Experience reading title documents, legal descriptions, and survey exhibits
  • Familiarity with utility corridor or infrastructure projects
