Job description

How to become a substitute teacher:

  1. Submit an application for Substitute Teacher.
  2. Complete and upload the GCIC Consent Form. (prior to class)
  3. Successfully complete Substitute Teacher training session.
  4. Complete and pass a criminal background check by fingerprinting.

Training will be held on September 9, 2026 at the Board Office located at 1411 College Street, Monticello, GA 31064.

Please bring a copy of your Driver's License, SS card, Voided check or official letter from bank with routing and account number, and $44.00 (CASH and Exact change) for fingerprinting.  

Also bring either your High School Diploma or College Transcripts (if needed you can have them emailed to me or mailed to the BOE)
