What is a substitute staff?

Substitute staff are temporary employees who fill in for regular staff members when they are absent due to illness, vacation, or other reasons. In educational settings, substitute staff often refer to substitute teachers who manage classrooms and deliver lesson plans in the absence of the regular teacher. They help maintain continuity in the workplace and ensure that important duties are carried out without interruption. Substitute staff may work in various industries, including schools, healthcare, and offices.
