Substitute pay rates refer to the amount of money substitute teachers or workers are paid for filling in temporarily for regular staff. Substitute teachers often encounter the challenge of quickly adapting to new classroom environments and diverse student groups with little prior notice. To manage these situations effectively, it’s helpful to review any lesson plans left by the regular teacher, establish clear expectations with students at the start of class, and remain flexible to adjust to varying classroom dynamics.
