Description

The Northwest School is a college-preparatory, co-educational independent school near the heart of downtown Seattle. We offer a rich and challenging program to roughly 400 students in grades 6 through 12, including 80 international students, many of whom live in our campus dormitory. We seek substittue teachers in all subject areas, serving both our middle and upper schools. Substitute teachers may be scheduled ahead of time, or, if available, may be called on the day needed for last minute subbing. The earliest call time for last minute subbing: 7:00am; first period class starts at 8:10am.

Qualifications

Substitute teachers are responsible for classroom management and presenting an established lesson plan. At The Northwest School, we seek substitute teachers who have expertise in their assigned subject areas which includes Languages ((Spanish, French, Chinese); Math (all levels); Science (Biology, Physical Science, Earth Science, Chemistry, Physics); and the Humanities

Pay rate: $46/one class and $36/1+ classes, max of 4 class periods a day for a total of $144.00
