As a substation operator, it is your job to run and manage an electrical substation so that customers can safely use electricity. Your job duties are to inspect, maintain, and monitor all equipment, including power converters, circuit breakers, and voltage transformers. This career requires at least some work experience in an electrical substation. Most employers offer on-the-job training. Another option is to earn an associate degree in a related field, such as power plant technology, from a community or technical college. Working independently to load, unload, and move materials within or near work site
Utilizing RF devices to fill orders and issue materials and supplies per requests
Operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies
Packing and shipping customer orders accurately and efficiently
Championing effective inventory management practices
Adhering to and promoting safety and security policies and procedures
Demonstrating exceptional reliability whilemaintaininga safe and clean work environment
Qualifications:
Ability to reach, bend, and lift/push packages thatweigh up to 50lbs.
Attention to detail andgood timemanagement skills
