• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments of clients entering the detox center, focusing on their emotional, mental, and social factors.
• Develop personalized care plans in collaboration with clients and their families to address specific recovery goals.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions, empowering clients to navigate their recovery journey and cope with associated challenges.
• Advocate for clients’ needs, ensuring they have access to vital community resources and services that enhance their recovery process.
• Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care effectively, ensuring consistent communication and support for each client.
• Perform regular follow-ups and check-ins to monitor client progress and adapt care plans as necessary to maintain optimal recovery outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all client interactions, assessments, care plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Educate clients and their families about therapy techniques, support groups, and resources that promote lasting recovery and improve quality of life.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest best practices in social work, substance use treatment, and relevant regulations to provide the highest quality of care.

The primary focus of this role involves working with clients in a detox setting, many of whom are navigating significant life changes as they seek recovery from substance use disorders. You will support individuals in crisis, addressing their unique needs with sensitivity, understanding, and expertise. Your role is critical in fostering an environment that promotes healing, stability, and the development of coping strategies for long-term recovery.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• At least two years of experience in a social work role, ideally within a substance use treatment center or similar mental health setting.
• Thorough knowledge of social work principles, substance use treatment modalities, and community resource options.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other technology to support documentation and care coordination.

• Experience working with the senior population or clients with co-occurring disorders.
• Previous involvement in developing or delivering community outreach programs.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices in substance use treatment and emotional support strategies.
