Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate the needs, strengths, and goals of individuals seeking help with substance use disorders.
  • Assemble personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).
  • Facilitate one-on-one counseling sessions that address behavioral issues and offer coping strategies tailored to the unique experiences of each patient.
  • Lead group therapy sessions that cultivate peer support, resilience, and shared learning among participants facing similar challenges.
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to patient care.
  • Provide crisis intervention to patients experiencing acute substance-related issues, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Educate patients and their families on addiction, recovery techniques, and available community resources, emphasizing social reintegration and support.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential records that comply with legal, ethical, and organizational guidelines, documenting all interactions and treatment progress.
  • Actively contribute to team discussions and case management meetings, sharing insights and strategies that enhance our collective impact on patient care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development by researching advancements in addiction treatment to continuously improve your practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals from various socio-economic backgrounds, ages, and ethnicities who are seeking help for substance use disorders. You will address underlying psychological issues and develop tailored recovery plans, ensuring that each patient feels understood, supported, and motivated to overcome their challenges.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist in California.
  • In-depth understanding of substance use disorders and expertise in evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing individual and group therapy focused on addiction treatment, with a compassionate and empathetic approach.
  • Proficient interpersonal communication skills, essential for building therapeutic relationships and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant digital tools for effective patient management.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries while fostering a supportive environment conducive to patient healing.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working within telehealth platforms and utilizing technology to deliver mental health services effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
