Job Description: Subscription Manager
BLITZ is focused on creating desktop applications and websites for different games (see blitz.gg), out on a mission to helping players learn and improve their skills. Currently, our major products are focused around the popular MOBA, League of Legends, and the celebrated FPS, Valorant, but various other titles are in-flight with plans for more. Our applications aim to make gamers better players by providing them with statistics-based insight into the current state of the game, tracking personal progress, and providing real-time analysis and scouting of enemy teams.
We are looking for a Subscription Manager to join our team and lead the new Blitz Pro Subscription service. This role will require engagement across multiple teams and disciplines, including marketing, engineering, customer service, and each of the Game Teams. As Subscription Manager, you will be a valued partner to Game Team Product Managers, helping to explore how best to adapt coaching features to maximize Pro conversion and optimize total IP revenue. This position will serve as a representative of the Pro business, expected to run testing and data analysis to ensure we have the best product-market fit in an ever-evolving suite of value props.

Candidates must be comfortable working in a startup, with the challenges (and opportunities) that entails.

  • Build and operate repeatable and efficient product/project planning processes for the Blitz engineering team
  • Promote internal understanding and delivery of partner outcomes.

  • Ensure risks around development progress, velocity, team health, and product evaluations (Indicators/Goals) are identified, assessed, communicated, and managed
  • Manage communications strategy with teams, peers, organizational leaders, partners, and customers on progress.

Requirements
What it Takes to be Successful...

  • 6+ years of experience managing empowered, Agile teams or processes to achieve large-scale product outcomes
  • 6+ years of SaaS management experience with influence over conversion outcomes
  • Experience with data analysis, predictive performance modeling, and conversation funnel testing and optimization
  • Set and manage well-disciplined communication cadence between cross-function, cross-region teams.
  • Experience managing the technical and release side of software backlogs and roadmaps
  • Creative and critical thinking skills
  • Strong self-motivation and work ethic

Additional skills we would love you to have....

  • Experience working in gaming or esports, or a passion for playing online video games
  • Experience being a core product owner and visionary
  • Suite of process best practices applicable to product delivery at scale
