We work hard to embrace diversity and inclusion and encourage everyone at Progress Industries to bring their authentic selves to work every day.Pay negotiable depending on experience.Join our team to help carry out our mission to "SUPPORT PEOPLE TO HAVE A FULFILLING LIFE IN THEIR COMMUNITY".The Facility Technician position will use proper safety measures when completing daily assignments, and meet and comply with necessary accessibility standards.Performs and manages the upkeep and repair of all properties managed by Progress.Perform preventative maintenance as directed be the Maintenance Supervisor.Responsible for on-call maintenance.Prioritize and execute work tasks in Maintenance Care daily.At the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor actively pursue quotes from independent contractors for major remodeling/repair projects, and routine services (such as, lawn care, snow removal, weed control, pest control, etc.). Present all bids to the Maintenance Supervisor for review/bid approval.Visit each location a minimum of once a quarter to determine the need for repairs.Other duties as assigned.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSCandidate must be 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma or GED. Prefer at least 2 years post high school education or experience in the construction trades, maintenance, or related field.Maintain a valid Iowa Driver's License with a good driving record, and a private automobile used to carry out job duties.
