Lanteris Space Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Subcontract Administrator to support complex subcontracts for commercial and government programs. This position is responsible for the full lifecycle management of subcontracts, from proposal support and contract formation through administration, performance monitoring, and closeout. The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge of U.S. Government contracting requirements, including FAR/DFARS regulations, and demonstrated experience administering cost-reimbursement and cost-plus contract types.

The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted business partner to program management, engineering, finance, and legal teams while ensuring compliance with customer requirements and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the administration of complex subcontracts supporting U.S. Government and commercial aerospace programs.
  • Prepare, negotiate, issue, and manage subcontract agreements and modifications in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations.
  • Interpret and apply Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other government compliance requirements.
  • Manage subcontract performance, deliverables, schedules, and contractual obligations throughout the subcontract lifecycle.
  • Conduct proposal evaluations, cost and price analyses, and support source selection activities.
  • Administer a variety of contract types, including:
    • Cost-Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF)
    • Cost-Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF)
    • Cost-Reimbursement
    • Firm Fixed Price (FFP)
    • Time and Materials (T&M)
  • Review supplier proposals for adequacy, allowability, allocability, and reasonableness in accordance with FAR Part 15 principles.
  • Collaborate with program management and finance teams to ensure subcontract funding and cost performance align with prime contract requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with government flow-down clauses, cybersecurity requirements, export regulations, and company policies.
  • Support audits and reviews conducted by customers, DCMA, DCAA, and internal compliance organizations.
  • Resolve subcontract issues, claims, and disputes while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Mentor junior subcontract administrators and provide guidance on best practices and regulatory compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Contracts, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in subcontract administration, contracts, procurement, or supply chain within the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Government compliance requirements and flow-down clauses
  • Experience administering cost-plus and cost-reimbursement contracts.
  • Demonstrated experience performing cost and price analyses.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Costpoint, or similar).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting DCAA, DCMA, or other government audits.
  • Knowledge of EVMS and government program execution requirements.
  • Familiarity with ITAR, EAR, and cybersecurity requirements (NIST 800-171/CMMC).
  • NCMA certification (CPCM, CFCM, or CCCM).
  • Experience leading subcontract negotiations valued at several million dollars or greater.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance may be required.

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.

The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $97,000.00 - $161,000.00 annually. The base pay for this position within New Jersey is: $97,000.00 - $161,000.00 annually. The base pay for this position within Delaware is: $97,000.00 - $161,000.00 annually. The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $107,000.00 - $178,000.00 annually. The base pay for this position within California is: $111,000.00 - $185,000.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
