Overview

As a Parking Ambassador, you are the face of Brighton Resort and the very first point of contact for our guests. Your primary mission is to create an organized, welcoming, and efficient arrival experience at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon. This critical role ensures smooth traffic flow, upholds mountain safety, and maximizes lot capacity while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Canyon Traffic Control: Direct arriving and departing vehicles safely through the main lot, loops, and snow banks using precise hand signals and traffic barriers to prevent gridlock.
  • Resort Information: Warmly greet guests, answer questions regarding mountain conditions or resort layout, and provide clear directions.
  • UTA Ski Bus Support: Ensure designated transit lanes remain entirely clear of personal vehicles and assist guests with directions to the UTA Ski Bus stops.
  • Safety Maintenance: Position traffic cones, clear snow or ice from critical guest walkways, and report any hazardous driving conditions to the mountain operations team.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods in extreme, fast-changing alpine winter conditions (snow, wind, ice, sub-zero temperatures).
  • Ability to lift, push, or carry traffic barriers and signs weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to maintain a positive, professional demeanor in a high-volume environment.
  • Requires open availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays during peak ski season. Scheduled hours are highly dynamic and subject to change based on resort visitation volumes, snowfall, and operational coverage needs. Applicants must be comfortable with shift extensions during peak periods as well as hours being cut or shortened during slower timeframe
