Job description

Apex Edge Description:
Apex Edge LLC is the system integrator for the MANET‐Cloud High Mobility Radio (MCHMR) architecture—a mature, warfighter‐developed solution empowering joint warfighters around the globe today. Although founded in 2025, Apex Edge personnel have supported MCHMR development and integration alongside the warfighter since 2022. We have operationalized the architecture in field environments, advancing its mesh‐cloud hybrid design to deliver resilient Command & Control (C2) in both connected and denied/degraded/intermittent/latent (DDIL) environments. Architecture enables shared awareness across echelons and synchronizes data from IL2 (commercial) to IL6 (Secret) for a unified common operating picture.


AFCENT Battle Lab Description:
The AFCENT Battle Lab is the front door for Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) solutions to enter use by warfighters in the AFCENT AOR. Ensuring that COTS solutions meet requirements and integrate into the C2 architecture (MCHMR) is the top priority of the Battle Lab.


Job Summary:
The Director of Integration & Mission Enablement will lead Apex Edge efforts at Shaw AFB, SC, serving as a trusted advisor to the AFCENT Battle Lab Director, directing/leading the efforts of Apex Edge and partner vendor personnel, and proactively addressing issues and initiating activities to enhance capabilities and mission execution. In particular, the position will spearhead the application of the MCHMR architecture for sUAS and C-sUAS Integration / Enablement, Sensor Fusion, Threat Alerting, Common Tactical Picture and Collaboration, AI-Enabled Operational Assistance, and provide training and transition of solutions to empower real-world application.


Responsibilities:

You will serve as a trusted team member of the USAFCENT Battle Lab Staff, enabling/providing:

·       In person support to mission users at Shaw AFB, SC as an MCHMR Director of Integration & Mission Enablement.

·       Managed services and platform operations for MCHMR Mission Execution Environment (MEE) at IL2, IL5, and IL6 security classification levels

·       Administration of TAK (Tactical Assault Kit) / TAK server, TRAX, Compass, and Watch Tower.

·       Support cross-domain data operations support between IL5 and IL6 enclaves

·       Surge support during exercises and operational events as directed by Apex Edge and CloudFit LLC

·       Participation in Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) and program reviews as directed

·       Configuration management, troubleshooting, and platform sustainment

·       Lead Apex Edge efforts at Shaw AFB and serve as a liaison between AFCENT mission users, Apex Edge teammates, and the CloudFit managed service team.

·       Operator/warfighter training

·       Secure handling of Classified and CUI materials and content IAW DoW Regulations, Standards, and Instructions

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years experience in a director / team lead position.
  • 5+ years executing and/or directly supporting tactical or operational mission operations.
  • Baseline capabilities for Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes. Associates or Bachelors Degree in engineering, computer science or similar field preferred.
  • Ability to configure, install, enable flows, integrate and maintain MCHMR architecture.    
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate with prospective customers and users, partners, and vendors.
  • U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency, or other status as a U.S. Person as defined by 8 USC 1324b(a)(3) per customer requirements.
  • Must have a current Secret DoD Secret Clearance and the ability to work on a military installation.
