Westland Distributing is a well-established wholesale distribution company and leader in the Manufactured Home parts industry. We are currently looking for an Inside Sales Lead to help us drive profitable growth in our Phoenix , Arizona Branch through delivering outstanding customer service and finding ways to maximize order value and ensure repeat business.

The Inside Sales Lead is a critical role focused on effectively managing inbound customer inquiries and executing outbound selling efforts, while setting an example for other Inside Sales associates and handling escalations. The Sales Counter is the primary contact point for all sales and customer service needs and the person in this role will work with customers both in person and over the phone to create quotes, place orders, research issues and ensure the branch has all information needed to fulfill orders accurately and on time. Excellent customer service skills, ability to work under pressure, and attention to detail are required for this position.

General Job Duties / Responsibilities

  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly Phoenix Branch sales targets
  • Manage sales inquiries for customers in person at the parts counter, over the phone and via email
  • Manage and resolve customer questions and issues related to quotes, orders and deliveries
  • Create quotes and sales orders for customers using Sage 100
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships with a focus on customer retention
  • Probe customers for opportunities to increase sales and/or satisfaction at every interaction
  • Continually develop product knowledge in order to effectively support our customers and sell our full line of products
  • Provide leadership by example for all inside counter sales representatives and be the point of escalation for larger opportunities and upset customers
  • Lead the counter team in regularly prospecting within territory for new business using internet, outbound phone calls, and referral requests
  • Complete special projects as needed

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a sales role; parts counter sales experience a plus
  • Construction / building materials / manufactured housing experience required
  • Outgoing relationship builder who quickly and easily connects with people
  • Exhibits humility and a servant leader mentality
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; become proficient in Sage 100
  • Strong work ethic with a desire to leave things better than you found them
