Role Summary

The Insurance CSR is the operational backbone of the Rivian Agency. In this unlicensed role, your primary mission is to remove friction from the sales and service process. You will handle the critical administrative tasks that allow our licensed Advisors to focus on high-level consultation and closing. From managing post-bind documentation to navigating billing inquiries, you ensure that every behind-the-scenes detail is handled with precision and reflects Rivian’s premium brand standards.


Responsibilities
  • Service & Billing: Field incoming service inquiries via phone and email regarding, billing schedules, loss reports, payment updates, and account maintenance that do not require a license.
  • Sales Support: Identify sales opportunities and seamlessly transfer them to licensed sales professionals for quote and bind.
    Sales Operations: Act as the primary administrative partner for the Advisor and Associate teams, handling non-licensed tasks like document collection and data entry.
  • Post-Bind Documentation: Manage the "finish line" of the insurance process—ensuring all signed applications, photos, and underwriting requirements are received and filed.
  • Renewal Preparation: Assist the licensed team by flagging upcoming policy renewals and organizing rate data for their review.
  • Carrier Logistics: Navigate Salesforce case queues and carrier portals to track the status of pending policies and resolve simple administrative tasks.
  • Database Integrity: Maintain meticulous records within the CRM to ensure the sales team has the most accurate data at their fingertips.

Qualifications
  • Experience: 1–3 years in an administrative or customer service role. Insurance or Fintech experience is a bonus, but we will train the right candidate.
  • License Status: This is an unlicensed role. It is a perfect entry point for someone looking to grow within the Rivian Insurance ecosystem.
  • Attention to Detail: You have an obsessive eye for accuracy—you’re the person who catches the typo in the fine print.
  • Communication: Clear, friendly, and professional communication style, especially when assisting customers with billing or account questions.
  • Multitasking: Ability to manage a high volume of administrative tickets while supporting US sales operations.
  • Education: High School Diploma required; college or equivalent professional experience preferred.

Pay Disclosure

The salary range for this role is $30.39 - $33.77 for Normal, IL based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs.
The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus and equity awards.
We offer a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26, including but not limited to paid vacation, paid sick leave, and a competitive portfolio of insurance benefits including life, medical, dental, vision, short-term disability insurance, and long-term disability insurance to eligible employees. Full-time employee coverage is effective on their first day of employment. Part-time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
