Top stunt performers in the industry can earn hundreds of thousands to over a million dollars per year, especially those with extensive experience and high-profile projects.

What is stunt pay?

Stunt pay refers to the specialized compensation that stunt performers receive for executing physically demanding, dangerous, or highly skilled actions in film, television, or live performances. This pay is typically higher than standard actor rates due to the increased risk and skill required. Stunt pay can vary depending on the complexity of the stunt, the production budget, and union agreements. In many cases, additional bonuses are provided for particularly hazardous stunts or when performers act as stunt doubles for lead actors.

How do I get a job as a stuntman?

To become a stuntman, you should gain experience in physical activities such as martial arts, gymnastics, or athletics, and often start with training in stunt techniques through specialized courses. Building a strong physical fitness level, developing a portfolio, and networking with industry professionals can help you find opportunities in film and television productions.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Stunt Performer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Stunt Performer, you need advanced physical fitness, specialized training in disciplines like martial arts or gymnastics, and often certifications in stunt safety. Familiarity with harnesses, rigging systems, and safety equipment is typically required to perform and coordinate stunts safely. Exceptional focus, teamwork, and adaptability are crucial soft skills for reacting quickly and collaborating on set. These abilities ensure stunts are executed safely and convincingly, minimizing risk while achieving the director’s vision.

Does stunt work pay well?

Stunt work can pay well, especially for experienced professionals working on major productions, with pay rates varying based on the complexity of stunts, union status, and location. Entry-level stunt performers may earn lower wages, while seasoned stunt coordinators and specialists can command higher fees. Compensation often includes per-day rates, bonuses, and residuals for certain projects.

How much does a stuntman get paid?

Stunt pay for stuntmen varies based on experience, the complexity of the stunt, and the production budget. On average, stunt performers earn between $150 and $500 per day, with more experienced professionals or high-risk stunts earning higher rates, sometimes exceeding $1,000 per day or more for major productions.

What are some common safety practices and protocols followed by stunt performers to minimize risk during filming?

Stunt performers work closely with stunt coordinators and directors to ensure every action sequence is carefully planned and rehearsed. Safety briefings, risk assessments, and on-set medical personnel are standard practices. The team uses specialized equipment like harnesses, pads, and breakaway props to reduce injury risks. Clear communication and strict adherence to protocols are essential, and no stunt is performed without prior approval and testing. This collaborative environment helps ensure safety while achieving the desired effect on camera.

Job description

For over 20 years, we have been America's busiest and most trusted premium entertainment company headquartered in Miami, with over 5500 professional actors throughout the world and over 3,500 entertainment options offered. Servicing over 115 major cities worldwide, our performers entertain at corporate and VIP events. We are seeking a well-organized entertainment sales representative with event or entertainment planning experience ONLY. Our company produces high-quality staged productions for corporations and high-profile individuals throughout the world.
What We Do
Our trained actors perform Interactive Theater, performing Combative and Acrobatic Shows, Action Adventure Stunt Shows, Musical Dance Shows, Educational Programs, Celebrity Impersonations, Broadway-style musical reviews, Hollywood Stunt Shows, Sci-Fi Stage Shows, Medieval Combat Shows, Haunted House creations, Adventure and Mystery Shows, and large-scale animatronic dinosaur rentals. No matter what the theme, if it's entertainment-related, we do it all. We service a very influential corporate and celebrity clientele. From upscale private events to large corporate entertainment planning, complete with Hollywood props, special effects, professional decor, lighting, and sound systems.
Who We Are Looking To Hire
We are seeking savvy, articulate individuals to answer incoming sales calls from potential clients who are interested in our services. You would be answering these calls from our Miami office. This is NOT cold-calling. Your job will be to respond to inquiring leads that come in on a daily basis and book private and corporate events. The ideal person should have a creative, artistic mind to help the potential client with entertainment ideas for their upcoming event. We are not a seasonal company; we are busy all year round. Our company is growing tremendously, and we need creative people who want to have fun by talking about our services with no high-pressure sales. All we need you to do is listen to what our potential clients want and offer options and solutions for their entertainment needs. We have the leads that come in on a daily basis. These are prospects that want and need our services. They are coming to us. We are so busy that we actually turn down business. You will need to be comfortable offering our prospects high ticket prices.
Job Details:
Here's the scenario: our prospects throughout the world complete our online form through our website. We tell the potential customer about our services, and we sell on the fact that we are unique in what we offer. We talk about what we can do and what we can offer at their events. We offer our prospects creative ideas on unique entertainment options. We talk about our special themed events and the advantages of using our company. If you can do that, we want to talk to you. We have no competition; there are hundreds of party planning companies that provide clowns, magicians, and goofy people wearing cheap Halloween costumes, we are neither. We provide quality, upscale costumed entertainment that clients are willing to pay a premium for. We also pay our actors very well, guaranteeing us quality entertainment. We do not adhere to a high-pressure sales approach but rather a consultative conversation on how we can help them produce a high-quality event for them. You do not need to beg someone to buy our services; our services sell themselves if you can convey the message and offer entertainment ideas.
Great Pay With All Expenses Paid Travel benefits - $65,000 - $150,000 + in Guaranteed Commissions. This is not a salaried job, commission only
Full-time only. Book today, get paid the same week. If you fit the ideal person to work here, we guarantee you will book events with us. To be considered, email a resume with a cover letter telling us what city you reside in and why you would be a perfect fit for this job. Your application will be rejected without a cover letter. We are an equal opportunity company. We encourage Veterans and People with Disabilities to apply. Please, no phone calls.
Additional Comments: You would be working as an independent contractor, not an employee.
