Job description

We are seeking a Gastroenterologist for a 12-month locum to perm opportunity in Prestonsburg, KY. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule with shared call and strong APP support.
Position Highlights
• 12-month assignment with long-term potential
• Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Scheduled clinical hours + shared call
• EMR: Meditech
• APP support provided
• Client prefers one consistent provider (open to two alternating weeks)
• Virtual interviews with leadership & OR team
Call Structure
• Shared with one other provider
• Offsite call
• Response time:
– 30 minutes for emergency consults
– 12 hours for routine calls
• Call-back frequency: 1–2 times per week
• Most common call reason: Active GI bleed
Procedural Volume
• 12–14 procedures per day
Required Procedures
General GI:
• EGD
• Colonoscopy
Advanced:
• ERCP (mid-level/moderate complexity required)
• EUS – Not required
• EMR – Not required

• Esophageal, duodenal, and luminal stent placement
