Argenta, MVS is currently looking for an Animal Care Manager at our Manhattan, KS location.



Responsibilities: 


  • Set up animal rooms as per protocol design or as instructed by supervisor or study investigator. 
  • Routine monitoring of room and routine room cleaning during live phase of study 
  • Tear down animal rooms and clean/disinfect post study completion. 
  • Collect protocol specific research data in accordance with Good Documentation Practices 
  • Collect protocol specific samples. 
  • Assist veterinarians in animal procedures. 
  • Animal health observations 
  • Inform veterinary staff if health abnormalities are observed in animals. 
  • Feeding of animals 
  • Repair, maintain, and operate equipment/machinery. 
  • Perform administrative duties that support the care of animals and site functions. 
  • Maintenance of research information and the performance of clerical duties 
  • Assist in identifying and follow up with compliance and QC/QA action items. 
  • Monitor and communicate with senior staff key developments pertinent to active studies by composing contemporaneous study specific documentation.


About You: 


  • High school diploma or equivalent education and experience 
  • Experience working with animals; large and small 
    • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products
    • Team player

    • Effective Communication skills both written and oral, and ability to work collaboratively. 
    • Attention to detail and analytically driven
    • Problem solving and resourceful thinking
    • Flexibility and ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
