UCF Global - UCF Abroad:

UCF Global at the University of Central Florida functions as the primary international hub for students, faculty, and staff. The Opportunity:

The Study Abroad Coordinator reports to the Associate Director and is responsible for supporting provider partner and faculty-led study abroad programs, developing and implementing communications and outreach to students, and managing databases.

The Coordinator will oversee application processing, student communication, faculty-led program development and execution, invoice negotiation, program assessment, and general financial aid resources and advising. The Coordinator will work effectively as a leader and member of a team, provide direction, delegate, and possess strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with UCF Faculty and Staff to create, develop, and grow study abroad opportunities.

  • Act as backup support for any faculty needs or questions from initial discussion to return from the program.

  • Correspond with providers, host universities, hotels, and tour operators to gather pricing and proposals.

  • Build and revise budgets and all program materials as needed.

  • Advise students both through walk-in appointments and through email correspondence.

  • Guide students from interest, application, decision, and confirmation of participation in study abroad programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting study abroad, international education, faculty-led programs, student travel programs, or other experiential learning initiatives.

  • Demonstrated experience advising students and guiding them through application, participation, and program completion processes.

  • Experience developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, external providers, host institutions, vendors, or international partners.

  • Experience coordinating program logistics, collecting proposals and pricing information, and managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Experience developing, monitoring, or reconciling budgets, invoices, or other financial documentation related to programs or events.

  • Experience utilizing databases, application management systems, CRM platforms, or student information systems to maintain accurate records and track participant information.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams) and strong written, verbal, and customer service communication skills.

  • Strong organizational, project management, written communication, and customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
