Job description

Position Summary
The Director of Marketing Strategy leads Studio II and is responsible for the translation of NAC's annual growth priorities into integrated marketing strategy and execution. This role owns the editorial calendar, campaign program, event strategy, brand standards, PR, thought leadership infrastructure and internal communications across all channels and offices. The director works closely with the CMO, practice leaders and Studio III to ensure that every campaign, communication and public appearance is strategically grounded, brand consistent and tied to measurable growth outcomes.
Core Responsibilities
Annual Marketing Plan Execution: Supports the development of the annual marketing plan alongside practice leaders and the CMO. Owns full execution, translating agreed priorities into the Studio II operational strategy with defined budgets, channel plans, campaign calendars and delivery accountability.
Campaigns and Editorial Calendar: Develops and manages the annual editorial calendar across all channels including LinkedIn, email, podcast, website and print. Designs and executes integrated campaigns informed by Studio III intelligence and Studio IV analytics. Manages content scheduling through the Martech stack.
Brand Standards and Governance: Owns content governance and brand standards across all marketing output. Multiplies brand assets produced by the Handbuilt design department and ensures consistent brand language application across every channel, format and office.
Thought Leadership and PR: Builds and manages NAC's thought leadership program covering speaker pipeline, conference submissions, white paper program and editorial voice strategy. Develops and executes the PR strategy as an integrated extension of the annual marketing plan.
Event Management: Plans and executes NAC's national and local event presence across conferences, client events, speaking engagements and sponsorships designed to position NAC as a national brand while supporting local practice and relationship priorities.
Internal Communications: Manages internal communications to align principals, project managers and seller doers across all offices on brand positioning, messaging priorities and marketing program updates.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field required. Master's degree preferred. In lieu of degree, 8 or more years of directly relevant experience in strategic marketing leadership will be considered.
• 8 or more years of experience in integrated marketing strategy, brand management or marketing communications with demonstrated leadership of multi-channel programs.
• AEC or professional services industry experience preferred.
• Proven ability to develop and execute annual marketing plans, editorial calendars and integrated campaign programs.
• Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ASANA, CANVA, UX experience, Sprouts Social, Jasper.
• Experience managing event programs, PR strategy and thought leadership initiatives.
• Strong data literacy with the ability to work with Studio IV analytics to continuously improve campaign performance.
