Job description

Overview

This is a contract position in Commercial, Corporate, & Pro Video Production located in New York, NY. The employer is Chorus.com.

Responsibilities
  • Design two to three distinct set looks each serving a different content format.
  • Sourcing furniture, props, and materials with NYC vendor relationships.
  • Oversee set build and installation.
  • Dress and style each set for camera, focusing on texture, layering, and on‑camera feel.
  • Coordinate with the DP/cinematographer on how each set reads under studio lighting.
Set Directions
  • Warm, lived‑in conversational set (cozy, homey, layered).
  • Clean structured set (classroom or educational feel).
  • Potential third set that is more minimal/neutral.
Requirements
  • Experience designing sets for on‑camera content such as digital media, streaming, branded content, or broadcast.
  • Strong sourcing instincts and vendor relationships in NYC.
  • Eye for how sets read on camera, beyond physical appearance.
  • Ability to work within a budget and make creative decisions with constraints.
  • Collaborative spirit, able to take creative direction and contribute own ideas.
Portfolio
