Job description

Bring your specialized ultrasound experience to Memorial Healthcare System in sunny South Florida. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced MFM sonographer who understands complex fetal anatomy, works confidently with high-risk pregnancies and can perform advanced studies with minimal supervision.
Assignment Details:

  • Full-time travel contract
  • Located in Miramar, Florida
  • Variable shifts may be required
  • Travel between clinic locations may be required
Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed first-, second- and third-trimester MFM ultrasound examinations
  • Identify fetal anatomy and possible abnormalities using an investigative approach
  • Perform umbilical artery, middle cerebral artery and ductus venosus Doppler studies
  • Evaluate multiple gestations, including chorionicity and amnionicity
  • Perform diagnostic transvaginal ultrasound examinations
  • Assist with procedures including CVS, amniocentesis and PUBS
  • Review patient requisitions and exam indications
  • Communicate with physicians when clarification is needed
  • Maintain current knowledge of MFM ultrasound techniques and best practices
Requirements:
  • Previous maternal-fetal medicine ultrasound experience
  • Strong knowledge of fetal anatomy and abnormalities throughout all three trimesters
  • Experience performing fetal Doppler studies
  • Ability to work independently in a high-volume, complex clinical environment
  • Strong critical-thinking, communication and decision-making skills
  • Reliable transportation between clinic locations
  • Experience with 3D imaging preferred
  • Experience with the Voluson Expert 22 BT24 preferred
