Full-Time School Bus Driver - Temporary Position

SOUTHLAND is currently seeking a dedicated and safety-minded Temporary Full-time School Bus Drives to join our team. This is an essential role that offers job security, a flexible schedule and allows you to make a difference by transporting our children to school safely.

This is a temporary position, anticipated to last 6 months with possibility of extension based on operational needs.

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Friday - no mandatory nights or weekend work
  • This is an 8-hour route between Marathon and Manitouwadge

Job Description

School Bus Drivers are responsible for safely transporting students to and from school. Successful candidates must be committed to safety and customer service and will possess superior oral and written communication skills.

Requirements

  • Valid Class B driver’s license preferred (training provided to upgrade from a Class G)
  • 3-year driver’s abstract with safe driving record
  • Undergo and pass a Ministry prescribed medical examination, drug and alcohol testing, criminal record search, vulnerable sector clearance and reference checks
