Job description

The district seeks a Graduation Specialist for high school students identified as not on track to graduate' to mentor and tutor in a variety of content areas and/or provide social-emotional and executive functioning support. Working with the administrative team, school counselors, parents/guardians, and other invested stakeholders, the Graduation Specialist will create and execute an individualized graduation plan with each assigned student, based on organizational priority. This role is in-person, but may occasionally involve working with students online. Familiarity with online platforms such as Google Classroom, Google Meet, and Zoom, preferred. The Graduation Specialist will work with other staff to decrease academic and non-academic barriers. The primary outcome is student graduation. This position will require flexibility in terms of working hours with time spent both during and after the typical school day and typical school year.ย

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: ? Bachelor's degree. Certified educator preferred ? At least 2 years' experience in Education ? Must have a valid Driver's License, a driving record acceptable to the Agency's insurance company, and proof of personal vehicle insurance ? Knowledge of community social services & agencies, mental health providers, and resources. ? Strong organizational, analytical, and listening skills. ? Strong relationship-building and communication skills with school-age children & parents/guardians.ย
