Job description

Dean of Scholar Development - The Dean of Scholar Development oversees the academic success of our scholars throughout the school year. The dean executes and monitors scholar recruitment and admissions. In addition, the dean develops the summer orientation program for our scholars. The dean also implements and monitors school-wide positive behavior programs. The dean works closely with the school counselor and academic interventionist to develop individualized academic and behavioral plans for our scholars. Moreover, the dean ensures that there are comprehensive extracurricular experiences for the scholars, develops a school safety plan, and coordinates the effective implementation of progress reports and report cards.

 

Qualifications:

 
  • 3+ years of teaching experience
  • Must hold a current TN administrator's license or qualify to complet within 1 year of employment
  • Proven experience with student intervention programs
  • Belief that all students can learn at high academic levels
  • Highly proficient in MS Office, student online curriculum and intervention programs, teacher online grade book programs, and student database systems.
  • Proven track-record of high student achievement at the school level
  • Strong knowledge instructional programs for behavioral, reading, and mathematics interventions
