Job Summary 

The Campus Services Student Employee is a flexible, cross-functional position supporting multiple areas across The University of Tulsa. Students may be assigned to the Allen Chapman Student Union and events, Mail Room, game day operations, Esports Lounge, and Collins Fitness Center based on staffing and operational needs. 

This position requires strong customer service, dependability, and the ability to quickly transition between different tasks, locations, and responsibilities. 

Essential Functions (Responsibilities) 

Student Union & Event Support 

Assist with event setup, teardown, room resets, guest direction, and general event operations. 

Move and arrange tables, chairs, signage, and other event equipment. 

Help ensure event spaces are clean, organized, and ready for use. 

Mail Room Support 

Assist with receiving, sorting, organizing, and distributing mail and packages. 

Provide customer service to students, faculty, and staff. 

Game Day Support 

Assist with game-day setup, teardown, signage, hospitality, parking-related support, and guest direction. 

Support Campus Services and University partners during athletic events as assigned. 

Esports Lounge 

Provide front-desk coverage and assist students with routine questions. 

Help maintain a welcoming, organized, and safe environment. 

Collins Fitness Center 

Provide front-desk and customer-service support. 

Assist with facility operations, programs, and special events as assigned. 

General Expectations 

Provide professional and courteous service to students, faculty, staff, and guests. 

Work cooperatively with Campus Services staff and other University departments. 

Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to switch between assignments based on operational needs. 

Follow University safety, security, and emergency procedures. 

Perform other Campus Services duties and special projects as assigned. 

Work Schedule 

Hours vary based on the student's academic schedule and Campus Services needs. Evening, weekend, game-day, and special-event availability may be required. Students may work in multiple Campus Services locations during the academic year. 

Required Qualifications 

Currently enrolled University of Tulsa student who meets student-employment eligibility requirements. 

Dependable, punctual, professional, and customer-service focused. 

Ability to follow instructions, work independently and as part of a team, and manage multiple tasks. 

Ability and willingness to transition between different Campus Services roles and locations. 

Ability to perform physical tasks associated with events and operations, including moving tables, chairs, packages, and equipment. 

Must obtain CPR/AED certification; the University will provide or coordinate training. 

Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends. 

Preferred Qualifications 

Previous customer service, events, recreation, esports, athletics, mail services, or campus employment experience. 

Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn multiple areas of Campus Services.
