The Mascot Performer is responsible for bringing the organization's mascot to life through energetic, engaging, and family-friendly performances at athletic events, campus activities, and community appearances. This role plays a key part in creating a memorable fan experience, building school spirit, and representing the brand in a positive and professional manner.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Support and Model the policies and standards of Crown College as stated in the Student Handbook and Crown Community Covenant.

Responsibilities - Provide a detailed list of tasks and responsibilities.

  • Game Day & Event Performance
  • Perform as the mascot at athletic events, engaging fans of all ages through interactive entertainment
  • Execute planned skits, routines, and in-game promotions (timeouts, halftime, breaks in play)
  • Maintain high energy and enthusiasm throughout the duration of events
  • Adapt performance based on game flow, crowd energy, and event needs Fan Engagement & Interaction
  • Interact with fans, students, and community members through non-verbal communication and body language
  • Pose for photos, participate in contests, and create memorable experiences for attendees
  • Engage with youth audiences and families in a fun, inclusive, and respectful manner
  • Brand Representation: Represent the organization in alignment with its values, image, and standards
  • Maintain the character and personality of the mascot at all times while in costume
  • Exhibit professionalism during all appearances, including community and promotional events
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with the Spirit Team Coordinator and game-day staff to execute run-of-show elements
  • Coordinate timing and placement for mascot appearances during events
  • Participate in rehearsals, planning meetings, and promotional activities
  • Costume Care & Safety: Properly wear, maintain, and care for mascot costume and accessories
  • Follow safety guidelines, including hydration, visibility awareness, and heat management
  • Assist with setup, transport, and storage of mascot equipment


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
