ABOUT INUVIALUIT PETROLEUM CORPORATION (IPC)

The Inuvialuit Petroleum Corporation (IPC), a subsidiary of the Inuvialuit Regional Corporation (IRC), is responsible for the Inuvialuit Energy Security Project (IESP) - the development of the M-18 well and construction of a gas plant that will produce natural gas and synthetic diesel for power and heating use across the Inuvialuit Settlement Region.

This project will reduce reliance on imported fuels, create skilled employment opportunities, and ensure a stable, locally produced energy supply for northern communities.


JOB SUMMARY

Working closely with the IPC Operations Leader and project management team, the Junior Project Support (Summer Student) will assist with research, planning, coordination, and documentation for IESP activities. Students will gain hands-on experience in energy project execution, vendor coordination, and project controls.This opportunity is ideal for students pursuing engineering, business, or project-management-related studies.


This opportunity has One (1) vacant positions to fill.


QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must be/have:

  • Between 15 and 30 years of age (funding eligibility requirement).
  • Enrolled in a post-secondary technical or business program (e.g., Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Management) and returning to school in fall 2026.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Good computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Interest in energy, infrastructure, or project execution.
  • A valid Driver's License and ability to travel as required.
  • Experience or coursework in the oil and gas or energy sector is considered an asset.
