Job description

We are looking for a talented Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team for the school year.

Hourly Rate Range: $35.00-$46.00 per hour

Responsibilities would include:

  • Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT).
  • Assist in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy plans to support student learning, participation, and independence.
  • Work with students on fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, visual-motor integration, and classroom participation.
  • Support students in developing functional and adaptive skills to enhance success in the school environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, Occupational Therapists, special education staff, and families to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom.
  • Assist with data collection, documentation, and progress monitoring to evaluate student progress toward therapy goals.
  • Recommend and help implement adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and environmental modifications as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) guidelines and IDEA requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
  • Current Indiana Occupational Therapy Assistant License issued by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA), or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to the start of employment.
  • Supervised fieldwork experience in a pediatric, school-based, or related setting preferred.
  • Fingerprint clearance and background check required.
