Lincoln Land Community College's Community Education department is seeking support staff to assist with the College for Kids Summer Camp and other Youth Enrichment Services (YES) programs from June 8-July 16, 2026. Youth Enrichment Services Support staff report directly to the Youth Enrichment Services (YES) Coordinator and will work in collaboration with the YES Coordinator and classroom instructors and other program staff members. Applicants must be age 16 or older.

Responsibilities of support staff members:
  • Serve as a role model, demonstrating respect and positive behavior.
  • Must be reliable, interactive, and engaged during assigned tasks and activities.
  • Will assist with ensuring students are checked in and out as per camp protocol.
  • Work collaboratively with the YES Coordinator and the instructors to create a positive inclusive environment where every camper feels welcome and supported.
  • Will help instructors and students in the classroom Monday-Thursday during morning and/or afternoon sessions for College for Kids Day camp, including Black Rocket Technology classes, and other camp-related activities as assigned.
  • Assist with camp set-up and clean-up as needed.
  • Reports any questions or concerns to the YES Coordinator or the instructor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Support staff can work up to 27 hours per week and will be paid no less than $15.00 an hour. Support staff will be scheduled on an as needed basis.
The Paid Leave for All Workers Act allows part-time employees to earn 1 hour of PTO for every 40 hours worked. For more information on this benefit, please visit IL Department of Labor, PFLA Act.
