These internships can be paid or unpaid and often provide students with opportunities to learn new skills, build their professional network, and explore potential career paths. Summer internships are valuable for enhancing a resume and can sometimes lead to future full-time employment opportunities. They also allow students to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings.

What types of projects can a student summer intern expect to work on during their internship?

These projects often include assisting with research, supporting ongoing team initiatives, and contributing to process improvements. Interns may also be tasked with data collection, preparing reports, or participating in team meetings, allowing them to gain hands-on experience and develop professional skills. The specific assignments will depend on the department, but interns are encouraged to ask questions and take initiative to maximize their learning opportunities.
