Essential Job Functions
Center for Student Success
- Works closely with Student Success leadership to help develop and implement the vision for the Center for Student Success, ensuring day-to-day operations on floor 2 of LEML reflect a cohesive, student-centered model.
- Helps define and document the service model, workflows, and operational policies for the Center for Student Success, contributing to the development of a true "one-stop" student experience.
- Assists with planning and coordination of pop-up, "just-in-time," and signature programming and events offered through or in partnership with the Center for Student Success, including coordination with campus partners such as the Registrar and Student Financial Services.
- Assists in developing and maintaining consolidated contacts, knowledge bases, uniform data collection processes, and cross-program brand identity and marketing for the Center.
- Working with Student Success leadership, develops yearly assessment goals for Center for Student Success operations and delivers an annual report on Center activity to stakeholders.
- Contributes data entry, corrections, and updates in Slate for Student Success CRM to ensure accurate, up-to-date records of student touch points.
- Manages content development and moderation for the Center for Student Success web presence.
Student Employee Supervision and Development
- Serves as the primary manager for the Peer Advocates program, providing day-to-day supervision, training, scheduling, task management, and contributions to student evaluations.
- Develops and delivers comprehensive onboarding and ongoing training for Peer Advocates, including training in Center for Student Success services, workflows, policies, procedures, and peer coaching and resource navigation skills.
- Serves as the first point of contact for Peer Advocates, providing coaching, guidance, and support for student staff development.
- Provides periodic feedback and supports career and professional development goal management for Peer Advocates.
- Evolves the Peer Advocate program over time, including transitioning peer advocates toward a more formal peer mentoring and success coaching model aligned with the Center's growing role.
- Manages Learning Assistance Programs Office Assistants on the 2nd floor of LEML, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, task management, and performance evaluation.
- Oversees the work of LAP Office Assistants in coordination with unit managers, ensuring student staff are well-supported and aligned with each program's operational needs.
- Coordinates training and professional development opportunities for LAP Office Assistants, including cross-training in Center for Student Success services to build a cohesive front-line student staff team.
- Provides periodic feedback and supports career and professional development goal management for LAP Office Assistants.
Staffing Operations
- Manages the 2nd floor virtual and on-ground desks, including coordinating staffing, organization, services, policies, and procedures across all student employee teams.
- Manages the annual wage allocation and budget for student employee teams, creating and monitoring wage projections.
- Manages supplies including inventory and beginning- and end-of-quarter ordering for the 2nd floor.
Library Operations
- Serves as a member of the Library Building Operations Team, contributing to shared planning, coordination, and communication across the library.
- In collaboration with the Associate Dean and the Building Operations Team, identifies underutilized library spaces through building usage assessments and creates recommendations for planning and programming that increases student engagement.
- In collaboration with the Associate Dean, Learning Commons partners, and Student Success partners, develops, plans, and participates in Welcome Week, Orientation, and other high-visibility student engagement events.
- In collaboration with Learning Commons and Student Success partners, develops and plans workshops, programming, and events such as pop-up tabling events and professional development workshops in the library space.
- Develops and plans events that bridge the library and Learning Commons with academic departments and units, fostering a sense of community and collaboration for students, faculty, and staff.
- Supports non-curricular departmental programming and events in the library space.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required. Relevant administrative or program management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position, also accepted.
- Previous supervisory experience, including direct supervision of student employees.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams, departments, and organizational structures.
- Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in an academic, library, and/or student success environment.
- Experience in student success, peer mentoring, learning assistance, or related student support programs.
- Demonstrated ability to recognize opportunities and design processes to increase administrative effectiveness and service delivery efficiency.
- Prior experience working with Slate for Student Success.
- Experience with event planning and coordination in a complex institutional environment.

Compensation at a Glance
$64,000 - $68,000
Seattle University has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, and not based on a candidate's gender or any other protected status.
