Salary Range: $35 - $40 per hour based on experience

Working Hours and/or Working Conditions: One or two evenings per week depending on schedule of classes, three semesters per year.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Expert level understanding of BACB guidelines for RBT training and supervision. Ability to develop educational content. Knowledge of local and regional health and mental health care systems and facilities. Expected to learn and use the college's learning management system (CANVAS). Ability to relate to students from the widest variety of backgrounds.
Supervision: SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Dean of may receives direction from the Associate dean SUPERVISION GIVEN: N/A
Job Function
Provides instruction to students in agreement with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board requirements for Registered Behavior Technicians - RBT Task List (2nd ed.) Teaches in traditional classrooms, online or distance learning management systems. Collaborates with Manager, Center for Health Careers to support student success.
Job Responsibilities
  • Develops course curriculum and assessments, refines and modifies as industry dictates
  • Teaches 40-hour training based on the RBT Task List (2nd ed.) and RBT Ethics Code (2nd ed.) ass assigned
  • Prompt completion of student grades and classroom paperwork as requested
  • Maintains records of all trainings conducted
  • Expected to be reliable, responsible, professional and efficient with schedule and teaching assignment
  • Promotes and supports student success

Education
Bachelor's degree
Qualifications
Must have an active certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a BCaBA, BCBA, or BCBAD. Three years of relevant work experience in Behavior Analysis at the Bachelor's degree level or higher required.
One year of teaching/training preferred.
Part-time employees are eligible for some Macomb Community College benefits including retirement with the Michigan Office of Retirement Services, as well as voluntary options for retirement. Part-time employees are also eligible for accrual of PTO and tuition waivers.
