Position Type: Full-Time
Position Summary
The Student Success Coordinator is responsible for supporting student achievement by monitoring and improving attendance, academic performance, and graduation readiness. Working collaboratively with teachers, administrators, counselors, families, and community partners, this position provides targeted interventions and data analysis to ensure secondary students remain on track for timely graduation.
Core Responsibilities
  • Attendance & Engagement: Monitor attendance data to identify chronic absenteeism; develop individual attendance intervention plans and conduct family outreach.
  • Academic Success: Monitor grades, credits, and assessment data; coordinate academic support programs, tutoring opportunities, and student success initiatives.
  • Graduation Readiness: Track student progress toward graduation requirements; coordinate credit recovery opportunities and interventions for off-track students.
  • Case Management: Serve as a student advocate; coordinate support services with school social workers, counselors, and community agencies while maintaining confidential records.
  • Data & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret attendance, behavior, and graduation data to evaluate intervention effectiveness and recommend program improvements.
  • Collaboration: Build positive relationships with families and participate in multidisciplinary teams focused on school-wide student achievement.

Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education.
  • Valid Michigan Teaching Certification.
  • Successful experience working with secondary school students.
  • Strong understanding of secondary graduation requirements and student support frameworks.

Preferred:
  • Master's degree.
  • Experience in student support services, case management, counseling, or academic intervention programs.
