    • Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position(s) available in Learning Commons. 
    • Start Date
    • Position available on or after August 17, 2026, and ending on May 31, 202, with the Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
    • Job Description/Duties
    • Serves as a Learning Commons student assistant for the front desk - the connection, communication, and clerical hub of services and operations.       The Learning Commons is the campus resource for learning support. They offer peer-led learning support for a variety of courses through Supplemental Instruction, Tutoring, and Writing Centers along with resources, strategies, and workshops to help students reach their academic goals.       Duties include but are not limited to:

      • Greets guests and route to the appropriate department/staff.
      • Assist with filing and tracking using paper and electronic systems Assist with running errands to other buildings/departments.
      • Assist with data entry. Assist with answering phones, emails and routing inquires to the appropriate staff in a professional manner.
      • Assists with referring students to other campus and community resources. Assist with logistics for meetings, outreach and events.
      • Assists with development of marketing materials and social media connections.
      • Communicates and works with teams to complete projects.
      • Assist students in scheduling appointments and responding to inquires using our learning center management platform, StanTutor.
      • Monitor and assist with any questions asked. Other duties as assigned.

      • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
      • Student coordinator appointments are based on experience in the position, generally a year or more of work experience in the front desk position.

    • $16.90-$18.50 per hour.
