Job description

The Program & Student Services Coordinator plays a key role in creating an exceptional student experience from enrollment through employment. This position supports the daily operations of the Goodwill Career & Technical Academy, helping ensure programs run efficiently, students receive high-quality support, and the Academy achieves its goals for completion, certification, and career placement.


Role and Responsibilities
  • Support Academy Operations
     Help keep the Goodwill Career & Technical Academy running smoothly by coordinating day-to-day classroom operations, supporting program activities, and ensuring processes align with organizational goals. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and contribute ideas that strengthen the student experience.
  • Manage Student Data & Reporting
     Maintain accurate student records from enrollment through employment, including attendance and certifications. Ensure data is entered into Goodwill's case management system with a high level of accuracy and integrity. Assist in preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Champion Student Success and Career Readiness

Partner with instructors, internal staff and employer partners to help students successfully complete training and prepare for employment. Monitor attendance, academic progress, and engagement, proactively identifying and addressing barriers that could impact student success. Reinforce expectations around professionalism, employability, and career readiness while helping students progress toward meaningful employment. Collaborate with internal teams to track placement outcomes and contribute to strategies that improve employment success.

  • Coordinate Administrative & Operational Activities
    Provide essential administrative support that keeps programs moving forward. Manage supplies and inventory, track key deadlines, maintain reporting tools, and assist with special projects
  • Contribute to Projects & Continuous Improvement
     Play an active role in projects that improve how the Academy operates. Help streamline processes, support cross-functional initiatives, and contribute ideas that enhance efficiency, collaboration, and service to students.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications 
  • Skilled with Windows PC and operating system, Microsoft Excel, and Internet. 
  • Experienced in customer focused sales and support environments. 
  • Must be able to multi-task, and work both rapidly and efficiently. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Must be able to understand and follow directions well. 
  • Ability to stand for eight hours. 
  • Ability to bend and twist. 
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to figure percentages and perform simple math computations. 
  • Sufficient eyesight and manual dexterity to differentiate between and classify items. 
  • Must be able to multi-task to meet daily production quotas.
