Regular training and support from residence life staff also help RAs develop strategies to maintain a healthy academic and work-life balance.

What are Student Resident Assistants?

Student Resident Assistants (RAs) are student leaders who live in residence halls and support fellow students by fostering a sense of community, enforcing housing policies, and providing guidance on academic and personal issues. They serve as role models, organize events, and act as a resource for residents who may need help or information about campus life. RAs also help ensure the safety and well-being of students living on campus by responding to emergencies and promoting a positive living environment.
