The Office of Engaged Learning encourages students to take their education beyond the classroom. This includes internships, Community-Engaged Learning (CEL) courses, the Center for Social Impact, and student research! This position will focus on marketing, messaging, and support of the college's efforts and investments in student research. This role is a growth opportunity for a student who is enthusiastic about promoting a culture of engagement and research on campus. This role serves the Office of Engaged Learning, taking part in the mission to advocate for students at NCC to take their education beyond the classroom.
Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the faculty director for undergraduate research and the Assistant Provost with outreach to students and campus stakeholders around research opportunities at the college
  • Building digital and print assets that communicate and support a culture of student research
  • Updating social media platforms with upcoming events and highlights of research initiatives, opportunities, and accomplishments
  • Updating external and internal websites to support student research
  • Compiling information about ongoing and future student research
  • Networking with other offices on campus, student researchers, and campus partners
Participating in team meetings and communicating regularly to discuss upcoming events and tasks
