Leadership Model
Madison House's leadership structure follows a train-the-trainer model. Each year, more than 200 student leaders are selected through a competitive process to recruit, train, and manage 1,500-2,000 student volunteers. One-third of the Madison House Advisory Board consists of students, offering a unique educational experience in civic leadership, board service, and nonprofit engagement.
Madison House's student-led programs are organized into four service tracks: Health and Medical Services, Education and Youth, Animals and Environment, and Human Services. - Oversee the student background check process in collaboration with UVA's Office of Youth Protection, ensuring compliance with university policies and timely completion across all programs.
- Coordinate the flow of information and resources among student leaders, staff, and the Assistant Director of Public Service Partnerships to support effective communication with community partners.

- Partner with the Assistant Director of Public Service Partnerships to communicate community partner feedback to student leaders and incorporate insights into program planning, volunteer management, and leadership development efforts.
- Support the onboarding and transition of student leaders within existing community partnerships by ensuring continuity of communication, documentation, and institutional knowledge.
- Assist with the implementation of new programs and partnerships approved through Madison House processes by coordinating student leader training, volunteer recruitment, and operational readiness.
