Company Overview

DeSales Media Group is dedicated to sharing the message of faith through engaging and impactful media content. As a Media Production Assistant, you will support our production team in a variety of areas including pre-production, studio and field production, editing, and media organization. This role offers hands-on experience in a professional media environment and valuable exposure to television and digital content production.

Position Summary

The Media Production Assistant will assist with studio productions, field shoots, post-production workflows, and digital content creation while supporting the day-to-day operations of the production department. This position reports directly to the Senior Producer.

Responsibilities

· Assist with pre-production for daily and special Mass recordings, including reviewing readings and confirming clergy availability.

· Support video shoots as a camera assistant or production assistant during studio and field productions.

· Create and organize social media content for new studio programming.

· Assist with media organization, file management, and production preparation tasks.

· Potentially assist with recordings of Italian and Polish Vigil Masses.

· Support weekend productions and special event coverage as needed.

· Additional responsibilities may be added as required

Core Production & Technical Support

· Digital Media Workflows & Post-Production: Assist with video editing, non-linear editing (NLE) timeline management, and optimizing rendering and export workflows.

· A/V Capture & Studio Integration: Gain hands-on experience with camera operation, lighting setups, audio/video capture, and studio production support in both field and studio environments.

· Technical Operations: Help manage digital asset databases, organize file structures, and assist with technical or coding-related tasks that streamline production workflows.

· Content Management: Support graphic design, copywriting, and social media content creation for digital platforms.

Requirements

· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

· Familiarity with Windows systems preferred; Mac/Apple experience is also welcomed.

· Current student pursuing a degree or concentration in Communications, Media Production, Film, Television, Digital Media, or a related field.

· Ability to work flexible schedules, including occasional evenings and weekends.

· Strong interest in television production, digital storytelling, and media workflows.

· Bilingual skills are a plus. (Spanish, Creole)
