***We are looking for practicum students to be placed with us during the Fall and/or Spring semester, not during the summer.***

Summary of Position: Completing a practicum with L'Arche involves sharing life with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and other Assistants in relationships of mutuality, to support the individuals in daily life activities, and to live fully the identity and mission of L’Arche in the context of an intentional faith community.

This includes growing in relationship by...

  • Assist individuals with the activities of daily living, including personal care and passing medications
  • Implementing support plans

  • Prepare and share dinner together as a household
  • Accompany individuals to medical appointments, shopping and recreational activities
  • Providing transportation
