Job Description
Provide supervision to students during open lab sessions. Use criteria from the procedures course instructor to provide students with feedback on their performance. Prepare students for competency exams. Ensure students maintain proper safety precautions in energized lab.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Provide supervision to students during open lab sessions.
• Use criteria from the procedures course instructor to provide students with feedback on their performance.
• Provide feedback on student performance to the procedures course instructor.
• Prepare students for competency exams.
• Monitor students to ensure radiation safety guidelines are followed while in energized lab;
• Alert supervisor to any equipment that needs repair and supplies needed;
• Ensure students maintain organization and cleanliness of lab equipment and supplies.
• Maintain current knowledge of the professional discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development.
• Maintain a flexible schedule to support open lab coverage and program needs.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Radiography from an accredited institution, along with current registration through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Additionally, candidates must maintain active accreditation with the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Division of Nuclear Safety, ensuring full compliance with state and professional standards for radiologic practice.
Preferred Qualifications
Two years' full-time experience in diagnostic radiology preferred.
Physical Demands
• Operate standard radiography equipment in laboratory setting.
• Must be able to receive, process, and provide visual and verbal information.
• Operate standard office equipment such as phone and computer on a frequent basis.
• Must be able to work effectively in stressful situations.
• Provide timely response to externally/internally imposed conditions and deadlines.
• Respond to concurrent, multiple, non-related issues.
Salary
Salary Range: N6 $16.05-$19.50
