Job description

Responsibilities

Licensed Outpatient Therapist Opportunity - PRN 

Clive Behavioral Health is a 100-inpatient bed stand-alone mental health hospital. We provide compassionate inpatient and outpatient care for individuals who struggle with a behavioral health disorder or co-occurring disorders. Our care providers work closely with patients and their loved ones to help achieve their personal treatment goals. We provide a secure, healing environment for all our patients, staff and visitors. We also offer intensive outpatient programming (IOP) for adolescents aged 13 to 17 and a substance use disorder intensive outpatient program for adults called First Step Recovery. Our goal with all of our programs is to help people reach their highest quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Complete psychosocial assessments
  • Provide group therapy or co-lead groups
  • Provide individual/family therapy sessions and crisis intervention
  • Augment Inpatient Services as needed
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of clinical information to HMO/Insurance providers (PHP/IOP specific) in accordance with departmental or facility policy
  • Provide social work consultations to physicians, nurses, other hospital staff members, patients, patient’s relatives and coordinate with community agencies as appropriate
  • Provide case management services to patients in PHP/IOP
  • Provide discharge planning services to PHP/IOP patients as needed.

Requirements

  • Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.
  • License: Must possess licensure in the State of Iowa as a t-LMHC, LMHC, LMSW or LISW.
  • Experience: Requires a minimum of one (1) year experience in a psychiatric health care facility, outpatient mental health center, FQHC or other equivalent mental health setting with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills. Outpatient experience highly preferred. Combination of education, licensure and experience and/or student internship hours may be considered.
