Position Title:ย Summer Student Helper Custodial Support
Location:ย All six buildingsย 
Employment Type:ย Temporary, Summer Position
Reports To:ย Building Custodial Supervisorย ย 



Position Summary:

We are seeking motivated and reliable students to assist with custodial activities and building cleaning and organization during the summer months. This position provides valuable experience in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment while supporting the custodial team in preparing facilities for the upcoming school year.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, classrooms, offices, and other common areas as needed.
  • Organize and maintain storage areas, ensuring supplies are neatly stored and accessible.
  • Support light maintenance tasks, such as moving furniture, setting up rooms, and minor repairs.
  • Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from various areas of the building.
  • Work with custodial staff to perform deep cleaning projects, such as waxing floors or washing windows.
  • Follow safety protocols and use cleaning equipment and products properly.
  • Assist in inventory management by stocking cleaning supplies and reporting shortages.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the custodial team and facility operations.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a current student, at least 16 years of age.
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn new skills.
  • Previous experience in custodial work or cleaning is a plus but not required.
