Job Description
The Interior Design Intern provides support to the Interior Design Studio. The Intern responsibilities include managing the Interior Library and assisting with rep and product updates in the Library.
Responsibilities (others may be assigned):
COMMUNICATION
  • Communicate as directed with internal and external team members on task assignments

COLLABORATION
  • Ordering and pulling product samples as requested by the design team
  • Maintain and organize materials in the resource library and ensure that items are up to date
  • Assist team members in accessing materials from the resources library as needed
  • Research and request samples for designers from product representatives on product websites
  • Participates in the development of schematic, design and construction documents and specifications to assist in the development of design intent
  • Additional projects to support the Interior Design Department as assigned

CODES AND STANDARDS
  • Aid senior staff with shop drawing and submittal review for content and accuracy

Job Requirements
Desired Qualifications/Knowledge:
  • Enrollment in a two-year Interior Design degree program required, a four-year degree program preferred
  • The ability to learn and use required computer applications; Revit, Enscape, Excel, Word and PDF editing software
  • Demonstrate a continuous learning mindset
  • Listen actively, acknowledge and respond to feedback
  • Willingness to work in a team environment to achieve desired results
  • The ability to work independently with little direction to complete assigned tasks
  • The ability to effectively communicate verbally and written with all levels of staff.

Physical Requirements:
