JOB SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVE
As a Teller you will provide excellent banking service to clients in a professional and courteous manner, maintain a basic understanding of our banking products and services, accurately and efficiently process client transactions and fully comply with company and departmental policies and regulations. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right candidate to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a competitive salary and benefits package.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position performs the following duties, including but not limited to:
  • Responsible for comprehensive, prompt and efficient customer transactions.
  • Receives checks and cash for deposits to accounts and loan payments, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsement as needed, and enters deposits and loan payments into computer records.
  • Processes credit card transactions.
  • Balances cash drawer at the end of the shift and compares totaled amount to computer-generated proof sheet. Reports any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary.
  • Ensures that the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.
  • Cashes checks and processes withdrawals; pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
  • Counts, checks and packages coins and currency.
  • Assists with bank-by-mail and night depository functions, as necessary.
  • Works assigned days and other days as required for adequate branch staffing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • High-school diploma or high school student working toward diploma
  • Six months to one year of cash handling experience in a customer-service environment, preferred but not required.
  • Good interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
  • Good computer skills including all Microsoft Office products
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that changes weekly
  • Able to stand or sit for extended periods while conducting customer transactions
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (boxes/bags of coin, etc.)
