Critical Thinking: Student Associates will use their knowledge of Gannon University campus and services to better assist and direct all visitors, emails, and phone calls.
Professionalism: Students will have the opportunity to engage and communicate with professional staff, employers, and various visitors on campus. Students will be required to maintain a professional appearance and engage with people as such.
Communication: Students will learn to exchange information clearly and effectively with other students, professional staff, and campus visitors. Students will be presented with various questions and will need to learn to respond with clear, effective answers.

Seeking a Student Associate to assist in the Student Success Center located in Palumbo Academic Center. Looking for someone with a flexible schedule and is eager to work alongside various departments in our office suite. Student must be passionate about providing a welcoming environment for students, staff, and faculty in a way that encourages community, networking, and service to promote transformational experiences. You will be a part of a diverse and supportive team of professional staff members and students.
Key Skills/Responsibilities:
- Assist with front desk duties which includes greeting guests, answering phone calls and scheduling student appointments for 3-5 different departments within the center
- Assist with opening/closing the center during business hours
- Communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and guests in a professional manner
- Assist with administrative tasks as assigned
- Assist with small projects / run errands on campus as needed
- Must maintain strict confidentiality with respect to students, faculty and staff
- Ability to maintain an organized and professional workspace
- Represent Gannon University and the Student Success Center through maintain an organized and professional workspace.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude that aligns with the Gannon Mission
Required Qualifications
- Able to work independently and use critical thinking skills
- The candidate will possess excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office products and be comfortable learning various software platforms.
