Job description

HyFlex Student Assistant

The Center for Academic Innovation and Faculty Support seeks applications from highly motivated, detail-oriented students to work 3-12 hours per week to serve as HyFlex Student Assistant. We expect this work to be completed in-person for both campuses. Key duties include:

  • Participate, as needed, in training to use relevant software
  • Assist faculty with technology in the classroom
  • Upload and deploy documents and PowerPoints in Zoom and Teams
  • Monitor chat for questions and concerns during class session
  • Organize and manage breakout groups
  • Create and manage polls
  • Complete other duties as needed

The successful candidate must be a currently enrolled student at USC Upstate. Federal Work Study students are preferred and have a:

  • Excellent listening, written communication, grammar, and proofreading skills
  • Willingness and ability to work in web-based applications
  • Willingness and ability to work independently with direction
  • Willingness to ask for guidance when needed
  • Ability to multitask
  • Personal integrity is essential. The position requires the student employee to maintain confidentiality in a professional environment.
