Purpose

To provide assistance to the teaching staff in a child care environment. Responsible for providing a variety of functions in support of the teaching efforts in a child care and learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide supervision and positive guidance to children according to developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Assist with the implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum.
  • Attend annual training.
  • Provide daily communication with parents.
  • Assist in providing a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Other related functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications

High school graduation or GED.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on experience with children ages 0-5 years. Stable work history.

Salary Range

$12/hour

$13/hour for Work Study
